Bacteria to DNA in less than 1 hr! No post-extraction size selection required due to optimal molecular ratio of long to short DNA fragments. At Q11 N50~50Kb, Yield 5+Gb, and 2,000+ reads above 100Kb using a MIN106D flow cell LSK109 Oxford Nanopore . (Predicted coverage at Q7 >3700x)

An E.Coli Fire Monkey extract ran on LSK109 enabled a complete assembly with ~1000x coverage of the chromosome (Flye, Q7) and recovery of a ~130kb plasmid (Q7, ~1000x coverage) using LSK109 Oxford Nanopore
Long reads less reliant on the cold-chain! DNA/RNA Shield Zymo Research is compatible with Fire Monkey. 20+Gb and 6,000+ reads above 100kb with 968 MIN106D pores Oxford Nanopore active after 48hrs of sequencing.
'Long Shot' LSK109 pushes Fire Monkey's performance on a re-used MIN106D flow cell Oxford Nanopore (which yielded 22 Gb on 1st run) after 6hrs. N50 increased by ~17% and 100kb+ reads were more than doubled. Optimisation is now under-way!
