Tech Savvy Twitter Chat - Hi! I'm Georgia and I'm wrapping up my 8th year of teaching. I currently teach 6th grade English in the Chappaqua Central School District. Previously, I taught 5th grade math & science and special education. #MCtechsavvy

Q1: One tech tool that transformed my classroom this year was iMovie. To wrap up our fantasy fiction book clubs, students used green screens and iMovie to create book trailers that followed the hero’s journey. The students loved this project! #MCtechsavvy

Q2: I'd like to shift towards incorporating Padlet, Parlay and similar platforms for book clubs and reflections. They give all students a voice and opportunity to share their thinking - and it’s a great way to make learning more interactive and student-centered. #MCtechsavvy

Q3: One challenge is not always being familiar with all the tech. I’ve learned to lean into that by letting students lead - they love being the “expert” and figuring things out. Giving space to explore (with clear boundaries) builds confidence & investment #MCtechsavvy

Q5: I hope to learn about new tech and resources that I can integrate into my teaching to engage students and enhance instruction. I am looking forward to expanding my toolkit! #MCtechsavvy
