Yesterday we had 3 very special visitors to Georges Park, brummie alpacas Muffin and Angel and a goat! Families got to experience being up close with these friendly animals (some for the first time) whilst also taking part in alpaca themed arts and crafts 🎨🦙

⚽️ Community projects like Alex’s Football Coaching at Friends of Georges Park are enabling more youngsters in the West Midlands to take up football. 🙌 Thanks to £14,327 awarded from the our Inclusive Communities Fund, administered by Heart of England Community Foundation the project offers local children free

Great to have our park ranger Penny with us this morning, children learnt all about different type of bugs and made bug hotels! 🐛 🐜🐝🪲🐞🕷🪳

Thanks to local residents and the park rangers who worked on our flowerbed this morning, the next session is on 25th September when new plants will be planted! 🪴

Friends of Georges Park has to be our #1 community asset in Lozells. Thanks to yrs of action by a few dedicated local people working with agencies, we’ve seen improvements to facilities & timely upkeep of the grounds. My fave is we now have Brum’s best outdoor Basketball court!
