Throughout the year at City Journalism Matt Capon and I have been described as ‘good’ cop and ‘bad’ cop on Digital. The jury is STILL out as to who is who. So on the last newsday with this year’s cohort, we made it our own.

It's been a privilege of my career to get to know them all and watch as they become the producers, journalists and podcasters of tomorrow. Have they been a pain in the arse? Undoubtedly. Would I have it any other way? Absolutely not. And I will miss them all. An amazing group.

I'm incredibly lucky to be in this position, and that fact has never been lost on me, not once. I look forward to seeing them shape and guide the news agenda into the future. Now to rest and reset.
