I replaced a dead patch of grass on my front lawn - which was noticeable from the living room - with a square of sod and was super proud of myself. However it's a slightly darker colored variety so now you can see the patch from the street now.

Hey everyone I'm in the Galápagos Islands 🇪🇨 again and it's been great so far, but I'm also here to report a traffic jam on the E5 on Santa Cruz heading south towards Puerto Ayora. Probably won't clear up for some time, consider another route.

I have the honor of being a featured subject in "That Could Be ME! Alabama: Journeys To STEM Careers" - a series of children’s books created by teens celebrating #STEM heroes of Alabama. I don't make any money from this! megathinking.org/product/captur… #education #Alabama #literacy

I just referenced the Kick-Six Iron Bowl game in a scientific, peer-reviewed journal article about urban microclimates, spatiotemporal scale, and decision making in weather data. This job is pretty cool sometimes. espn.com/college-footba…

July 2023 was the hottest month on record, according to our global temperature analysis. Overall, July was 0.43°F (0.24°C) warmer than any other July in NASA Earth's record, and it's likely due to human activity. Details: go.nasa.gov/3OTWMh7

There really should be reporters who particularly follow how the realm of sports is dealing with climate change. Players are beginning to be very open about the stress of competing in intense heat, water breaks are more frequent, but also the flights are as plentiful as ever.
