An update on Student Assembly.

On Monday, Alliance is bringing a motion calling for inclusive, standardised, and age-appropriate Relationship and Sexuality Education in schools across NI.

RSE is a safeguarding tool, and every young person deserves guidance on how to build healthy, respectful relationships 👇

Delighted our motion to protect Donaghadee Harbour passed with unanimous support at committee tonight!

Our town and its iconic Harbour are in dire need of protection from rising sea levels and storm surges. This is another step closer to making making that happen 💛

Shocked?! We aren’t.
This is why we need quality, comprehensive, age appropriate RSE in schools.
It is also why we are partners in Raise Your Voice project.
The cultural normalisation of the sexual harassment of women and girls needs addressed by policy, community & education.

But for the first time, Student Assembly will be in person at Queen's University Belfast 🎓!

This is an incredible milestone and we’re so proud of how far we’ve come - stay tuned for exciting announcements!

Just your reminder that we currently have no homeless prevention legislation in Northern Ireland: there is no statutory duty to prevent homelessness, only to intervene.
Organisations like NI Youth Forum are doing what governments should be. We need new legislation urgently.
