Problem is that they'd also be giving that very valuable tax exemption to people who are *already here and planning to stay here*. And if they're already here that means no economic benefit. No jobs created. Just lost tax - £34bn of it.

Yesterday, I spoke in the debate on War Memorials. These sites carry deep significance — especially for the families of those who gave their lives in war. I was proud to mention the Knightswood Cross War Memorial in my constituency.

This is very simple - you should not be a legislator and a paid lobbyist. Nor should legislators be getting paid to provide public affairs advice, eg at communications consultancies.
