Over the moon! After 6 months in my new school we went from 10 ss doing French & 10 ss doing Spanish to 22 doing French and 38 doing Spanish next year!!! It’s not a lot but it’s amazing four us. Thanks to David Binns & my wonderful MFL team #mfltwitterati

Right now I would not want a family member to enter teaching. I am one of 14 teachers in my family past and present and the 4th generation headteacher.

The teaching profession will find itself dispensible if it keeps pushing the knowledge line beyond its proper proportion. AI can do knowledge. AI can do curriculum. AI can do planning, and resources, and marking, and correction. What AI cannot do is be human. We need teachers.

Teachers/Headteachers: What is rarely talked about - and never in some circles - is how teachers who have diagnosed neurodiverse or mental ill-health conditions regulate themselves, especially in the classroom and when under extreme pressure.

Do you remember the Sir Jim Rose's Curriculum? The curriculum that never was! The school I was at spent a whole year preparing for this curriculum. Then we had to change it again!

My problem is, I really what to write a book but how do overcome that constant feeling of not being able to write well enough to be able to actually write a book… any tips please?

Assessment for KS3 science… how do you do it? We currently do a mini end of topic assessment after each topic. However, this leads to 13 assessments per calendar year! How are you doing it? Is it effective? How do you assess progress?

I truly believe that reading to your class should be set on your timetable every day. I sometimes hear people say they don’t have time. It’s one of the most important things. No time for other things: yes. No time for reading to your class: No.
