God’s provision sustains life. Satan’s temptation drains life. We must consider this reality when making choices. God says, “I will meet all your needs according to the riches of His Glory in Christ Jesus,” (Philippians 4:19). Trust God. Embrace Truth. Live His promise.

Behind that idea is the belief that God is always at work in our lives. We must consider that work, take note of it, and learn the lesson. By recording those truths, we can remember and trust the work of God from previous days as we chart our course in present.

Sometimes the truth of one simple sentence can radically impact the considerations of the heart and alter the course of a life.

When life stirs up feelings of uncertainty, fear and exhaustion, let's hold on to the hope of Psalm 145:18, “The LORD is near to all who call on him, to all who call on him in truth.” Our hard times can be holy times, close-to-God times. And wherever God is, good is being worked.

When our hearts hurt and life gets really hard, we need reminders of God’s goodness. And I’ve found that declaring the Word of God increases my trust in God. When we express God’s Truth, we depress the enemy’s lies.

Healing is such a process. And when more hurtful things happen in the midst of our healing, it’s only natural for bitterness to come knocking. But I’m learning that bitterness doesn’t protect me or prove anything. It only turns me into someone I don’t want to be.

God doesn't grow tired. He doesn't get weary. And no one can fathom His understanding. What a magnificent God we serve.
