Before moving from my role at Google to Snowflake I sat down and did a braindump of all the guidelines that I follow (or followed at one point and wanted to reintroduce). For those interested, here are the ~34 guidelines that made the cut

Oh man, just realized with Claude Code I can skip the Terminal Prompt Yes / No, direct edit the file changes it gave me, hit save and continue. Amazing. #ai

Wife ordered ripe bananas from the grocery store delivery. The greenest bananas you’ve ever seen show up. They’re so green that it’s been over 2 weeks and they are still green and now are outside sitting in the sun and have burn marks, but they’re still green.

So before I went to a Cigar lounge last Friday I decided to go to a new massage place for the first time. The Google Maps pin was wrong and I ended up at a massage place across from the one I wanted to go to. It was an Asian massage parlor ask them if the masseuse was there

I’m reading “The True Story of the Great European War” by Prof CM Steven’s. Publication date is 1914 which makes it 111 years old. It’s worn and looks like it’s been read a few times. When I hold old books like this and read them I can’t help but wonder: Who else owned, read

Lately I’ve been finding myself just coding again…sometimes it feels like having to describe everything I want and how I want it is slower than just doing it. Depends on the project size I guess, or if it’s a refactor into a new format.

The problem with #AI Outbound Voice is that you have the audacity to take up the users time but aren't willing to take up your own time, not even your employees time. It's just going to lead to more spam and irritating calls.

Demon Hunter in IMAX is pretty dope. Excited that Chainsaw Man has a movie coming up next too. Anime is gonna save the movie theatre industry…who would have thought. Everything that was nerdy and uncommon is now mainstream.

Really enjoying Codex. It’s a little slower than Claude, but it keeps doing things right. The more I get used to instructing it the faster it gets. If you point at exactly what you want done it doesn’t have to scan and plan so much to make the changes.

Eventually people are probably going to find out that different models react differently to their individual "prompting" styles, questions, and general vocabulary than others. Will be very interesting to see how that works out! Overly verbose questions? Maybe Model X works

kind of crazy that each LLM company has a AI router which basically classifies you based on how smart you are. you only get PhD level intelligence if you have a PhD level brain. why waste compute on a retard

Can I get Claude Code to talk to Codex if I like…I dunno make an MCP server to run Codex in terminal and pass its queries?

Alexander Conroy (@geilt) 's Twitter Profile Photo

You know how your supposed to review the code you and your colleagues write before you deploy? Yea you need to do that with AI code too… There are well documented reasons we do this.

Regarding #ai and social media. I have a feeling that while people are okay talking to AI in private, they won’t feel the same way about talking to it in public…everywhere. All the time. I’d be disappointed if I wasted my time replying to a clever bot.

I tried ChatGPT Atlas. Then I realized I needed to login to everything (didn’t import from Google) and was not comfortable with an app that can read every page and screen in real time without me knowing asking for my passwords and possibly sending it to OpenAI. I trust OpenAI

Must be stressful to run a company that sees its values due to its stock price. Must be nerve wracking day by day, watching it rise and fall…like the Sword of Damocles…success hanging on by a horse hair.

Imagine being in a coffee shop, and someone runs by and screams some command at your windows computer and it just installs malware. That's why people don't want Agentic AI baked into their OS...#Windows11
