Just because a pro-choice person cannot determine where the dividing line is between a valuable human infant and (in her mind) a non-valuable human zygote, that does not mean that there isn’t a difference.

Consent to sex is not consent to pregnancy? If I go to a casino and bet on roulette, but it doesn’t land on my number, I lose my chips. I can’t say “now that I’ve seen the outcome, I withdraw consent.” You don’t get to withdraw consent from effects of an action you consented to!

PC: “Freezing an embryo does not kill it. Freezing a human does. Ergo, an embryo is not a human.” Ummm...Freezing an unborn HUMAN doesn't kill it, and freezing an adult HUMAN does. Because adults are larger organisms, which are harder to thaw. This isn't the epic take you think

Your value doesn’t rest in how happy you are or what you achieve. Your value rests in WHO you are: a human person deserving of respect and protection, even in the womb.

There are very real problems and challenges that women face in pregnancy and motherhood, but the violence of abortion is an unacceptable solution.

Abortion is always safer than childbirth? Studies in Scandinavia, where they meticulously report all abortion and childbirth statistics due to their socialized healthcare systems, show that abortion has a higher fatality rate for mothers than childbirth.

Most people will not change their minds about a serious subject after one conversation, so an ongoing dialogue with a friend can be really helpful.

I think we should accurately describe other people’s positions because it demonstrates that we care enough about them and their views to try to understand them. We should love the people we’re talking to and not just see them as an object, a mind to be changed.

You're most likely to take differing viewpoints seriously after forming a relationship with a person, rather than in the beginning, when you have no idea who the speaker is or what they’re like.

“Evicting” a fetus from your uterus is the same as dropping a toddler in the ocean; both are perfectly healthy humans, just too underdeveloped to survive in that environment. Forcing them into an environment where you know they can’t survive is killing and must be illegal.

PC:"You just want to control what people do with their bodies!" PL: "No, I’m interested in controlling what people DON’T DO with their bodies, like kill other humans." #endabortion

Many people need more than one conversation to change their mind about an important issue like abortion. Some people need a relationship.

The most important concept is that when somebody starts talking about “life” in the abortion debate, don’t make another step before clarifying whether they’re talking about biological life or something more philosophical.

While sidewalk counseling, there may be a time when threats or acts of violence against you become a reality. It is important to know how to handle such a situation, and, in particular, when and how to involve the police.

I think we agree that killing people, generally speaking, shouldn’t be an option. So, if, as I’m claiming, abortion kills a person, then abortion shouldn’t be a legitimate option. I’m not forcing the woman to do anything by arguing that we should take away an illegitimate option.

Emily Geiger (@geigeremilya) 's Twitter Profile Photo

What’s our goal for stopping abortion? We have no interest in controlling women’s bodies or punishing people for having sex or something. We just want to end legalized killing of innocent people, and the unborn are people.

People changing their mind in front of you is not the only way to measure success. It might be that the person you’re talking to feels more comfortable around you, so you have a longer, serious conversation that the person can reflect on later.

Pro-freedom? Me too. But AT MINIMUM, physical violence against innocent people for no self-defense or just war type of reason must be illegal. So abortion must be illegal. I’m pro-freedom, but physically killing an innocent human isn’t a thing anyone should have the freedom to do
