Why do we love cake and ice cream? My lab's latest paper in Cell Metabolism led by Molly McDougle, PhD identifies separate gut-reward circuits for fat and sugar. Foods combining fat and sugar recruit both reward circuits to increase motivation to overeating. authors.elsevier.com/sd/article/S15…

Amazing trip to Quebec City. Olivier Lavoie and Alex Caron were awesome hosts. Great scientific discussions, saw some of the sites, and had great delicious food. Even had my first "running meeting" with Vicky Drapeau. Thank you for the invitation Student Committee in Neurometabolism!
