Recently racist graffiti was spotted on campus of University of Glasgow and in the centre of Glasgow City Council. We are deeply concerned about this outrageous racist action and hate crime, and like to urge all relavent parties to act swiftly to make sure this will not happen again.Police Scotland





We welcome Kaukab Stewart MSP question to the First Minister today about racism and racist graffiti on University of Glasgow campus. Yet one more graffiti was spotted by our student in Glasgow this week. Hope Police Scotland can act swiftly to take the culprit accountable. youtu.be/0_HMYvKQzOQ

Two special guests David Duncan and Uzma Khan FRSA FRSE joined our Chinese Culture Week to show how they write their names in Chinese and university’s commitment to diversity and inclusion. Only two hours left The Gilchrist Postgraduate Club for our Culture Week, come to see what’s new this year.


This week some of our members including 张珂通 Ketong Zhang and Gujing.li visited Patrick Grady at the UK Parliament, we discussed various issues including the racist graffiti, diversity and inclusion in Glasgow, and of course the lovely cakes in the Pugin Room.

Happy Birthday! The Gilchrist Postgraduate Club We had great memories about this place and hope you continue to be the home of our cultural events.


Yesterday we hosted our Freshers Meet and Greet event. We received welcome speeches from Anton Muscatelli Kaukab Stewart MSP , Baroness Bryan of Partick, officers from Police Scotland Safer Communities, they all affirmed their welcome and support to Chinese students to study and live in Glasgow.


Next week we welcome the Chinese New Year of the Rabbit! Join us The Gilchrist Postgraduate Club for the Chinese Culture Week to celebrate with us! Come and know which animal of year when you were born!
