Been watching a TV series on C4 called Patience. Whilst the programme is a bit rubbish, it’s set in York. Some of the views of the City are stunning and bring back a lot of memories for my wife and I.

I hear that Peter Rayner has died, aged 91. Literally, a legendary character, probably best known as the ROM of the LMR. At Operations Management Group meetings I was always in awe of his experience, knowledge, competence and wit and grateful for his guidance. Rest in peace.
