Good morning! Wishing you a serene day! This beautiful pair of panel paintings by Elias van den Broeck (1649-1708), ‘Dessous de sous-bois aux grenouilles’ & ‘Dessous de sous-bois aux champignons’ soared passed its modest €10,000/15,000 estimate fetching €33,150 at Drouot.

Acquisition News! Musée d'Orsay acquired "La place de l'Europe, Paris" by Jean Béraud (1849-1935). Béraud is known for his genre scenes depicting modern Parisian life in the 19th century. According to the museum this work is similar to several paintings he exhibited in the 1870s

During COVID Barnes Foundation developed the Visual Experience Platform (VXP) to aid in teaching its art classes online. Now the Philadelphia-based institution is sharing the technology. Penn Museum will host its "Deep Dig" & "Archaeology in Action" programs using the VXP this fall.
