GATERS is in the process of demonstrating the first retrofit application of a novel propulsion and manoeuvring device for ships, called “Gate Rudder System”. Formed of 18 partners across 9 countries including technology experts and prime stakeholders including the patent holder.

Gaters had its first General Assembly meeting and a consortium of over 30 participants presented and engaged on the different Work Packages that will be undertaken in the coming years to design and install a retrofit Gate Rudder System. #project #design #engineering

GATERS has completed the installation of a Voyage monitoring system on board of our target vessel MV Erge for which the retrofit Gate Rudder system will be installed Autumn 2022. The system will collect performance data before and after the Gate Rudder system installation. #H2020
