My mom is a retired kindergarten teacher. I was filling her in on the current trends and buzzwords in education. I told her we are expected to use the #HQIM with #fidelity. She said, “What about fidelity to the children and their needs?” Excellent point, Mom!

I’m spending the day at the hospital where my dad is recovering from surgery. Every time a baby is born, they play a few bars of Brahms’ Lullaby throughout the hospital. It has played twice in the last hour. What a joyful and life affirming little sound to hear!

Very insightful. Sometimes a quick fix from a leader creates chaos when they don’t see the unintended consequences. These can be avoided with more input from others or letting others work through it.
