the biggest thing vibe-coding demos miss is that 99% of the work is all the edge cases, performance, polish and idiosyncrasies that happen afterwards

i think one of the reasons vibe-coding feels addictive is it's like a constant puzzle to figure out exactly how you get what you want in the most efficient way possible... someday the llms will be better but right now it feels like a solvable maze

vibe coding really shines when you need to make prototypes or temporary internal tools with high tolerance for error... e.g., "build me an internal dashboard so I can debug X"

a nice flow I have is: - Cursor + control+space to pull into Chatgpt and talk about the plan - Cursor + 3.7 to then execute on it - Cursor -> ChatGPT 4.1/o3 to critique / find gaps
