This must be really upsetting for the people it happened to. Patients, families and NHS staff park at City Hospital, so why anyone would attack their vehicles is incomprehensible. It just adds stress and worry to what can already be a tough time for people using the hospital.

🚦 Knockbreda Road Crossing Update 🚦 After two years of unnecessary delay - the crossing has been added to the programmed works list and the hope is it will be completed by the end of financial year. This will allow the Cherryvale gate to open. I'll be keeping the pressure up!

Good to have the opportunity to listen to businesspeople affected by the recent racist attacks, and to discuss support that can be given to them and steps that need to be taken to stop this from happening. These members of our community are an essential part of South Belfast.

Great to call in to Reboot, Queen's University Belfast 🎓's new games hub with retro arcade classics, board games, consoles, an Esports Centre, and great food and non-alcoholic drinks. There'll be a rolling opening over the next week or so with more sections coming online. Check it out 🎮

Fair play to Cllr Gary McKeown The SDLP for sorting out this dropped curb on stranmillis road. Makes it so much easier for me (and all wheelchair users) to get down the road. Makes my commute to Lyric Theatre Belfast much smoother!

It would be brilliant if Claire Hanna becomes SDLP leader. Her electoral track record, reputation for leading from the front, and her fearlessness in standing up for what is right show that she can deliver for the party, and more importantly, for the people.

🎃🎅🏻 Just leaving City Growth Committee. I’ve been campaigning for some time for expanded Halloween & Christmas events in Belfast. Delighted this year will see the start of Halloween events on City Hall’s lawn, and public engagement on expanding Halloween & the Christmas market.

Pulling out of hosting Euro matches is the stuff of warzones. It would've showcased the city brilliantly and brought in people from across the continent, with a long-term benefit for all. This comes on top of the City Deals freeze. This isn't the future we deserve. #Casement

Glad DfI have agreed to install warning signs alerting drivers on the approaches to the zebra crossings at Stranmillis roundabout and Governor's Bridge after community concerns about near misses. Hopefully this will make the area safer for pedestrians given how busy it is.
