It was lovely to see the sun out at Perranporth this morning. After a stressful month for grass with low light hours and 200mm of relentless rain - it was time to open up the surface with the 4 in 1 slitter and allow the soil to breathe 🌱⚽️

Aerated the pitch this week, tapping into the recent Verti-Drain holes and the sand bands ahead the recent +50mm of rain - the pitch has drained excellently this afternoon. Also a massive thanks to Chris Ralph for his help and advice - it was great to meet up and talk grass⚽️🌱

What a week!! Battling against the weather. Great meeting with Chris Ralph and a very kind loan of a roller mower - spent match day working with my son Jack - then enjoyed an excellent afternoon of football with my Family watching a fine Truro (C)ity FC win ⚽️👌 #TopDay

Week 2 of the end of season renovations.  A second pass with the Graden verticutter - set at minus 10mm deep to remove any dead organic matter and cut lateral growth to stand the grass up vertically and promote new shoots / tillers. A big hoover up before the next stage....🌱
