Was absolutely gutted to drop & write-off my 15yo Canons midway through a card at York a fortnight ago. Had called 7000+ races with them. Shopped everywhere since & just had to go for the same ones. The new lenses on debut Newcastle Racecourse tonight. Hopefully worth the investment!

My first full live comms gig at Boughrood Harness Races 20 years ago involved calling a race Lord Lipsey drove in & won sitting behind his very own Radnor Mary Anne. He was very welcoming that day and always a pleasure to talk to and absolutely loved his racing. A sad loss.
