We spotted this clever red-tailed mason #bee (Osmia bicolor) making a little nest in our vegetable beds. They also like to set up homes in empty snail shells. Grow bird's-foot-trefoils, vetches and shrubs, such as blackthorn and hawthorn, to attract them.
