Spring crocuses have been in #SaffronWalden for some time (Castle St, Walden Place, Bridge End Garden) Saffron crocuses are a particular variety, Crocus sativus, and flower in the autumn.

We love growing flowers in our gardens, yet we call plants that grow spontaneously "weeds" and kill them...This "unkempt" tree pit in Ville de Luxembourg was a biodiversity joy among the concrete: flies, bees, ladybirds etc. How do we learn to accept this "wildness" in our cities? 🌱
