Sad reality is that even if say a new gov wanted to regulate this issue, it wouldn’t be easy. Businessmen would run to their embassies/label environment as hostile, foreign countries might respond with threats/pressure. So most govs choose to leave things as they are. #Gambia1st

G A N O Gov’t isn’t giving him land to build on. He is acquiring them through community, private entities with due diligence otherwise he wouldn’t survive 2 governments. He partnered with Gambians throughout the years, so where is the problem? #Chambaii

You do have a point but we must also not ignore the existing power dynamics and the realities of economic power play. While many migrants come to The Gambia and start from scratch, the case of Indian businesses is different.

G A N O Well said bro, this is the kind of mindset shift we need in The Gambia, less blame, more building. Respect to you for using your platform to spark real conversation. Lets grow, compete and collaborate, Everyone eats when the mindset is right

Serious nations don’t waste time on tribalism. While we argue about identity conflicts, those countries are focused on planning for the next 10, 20, or even 50 years. Progress doesn’t care about your grandfather’s origins — it’s all about what you’re creating right now.

G A N O The bottom line is “foreign investment” is not bad, however no foreign investor should be the leading force in any area of business.

As Gambians, our biggest flex right now is that we have the strongest passport In West Africa and the 12 strongest in Africa.

List of countries you can visit as a Gambian passport holder without needing a Visa. There's more even, just do your research.

The citizenry are entitled to protest peacefully and express their grievance. This is a constituitonal right guaranteed by our supreme law - The 1997 Constitution. What is the public order threat of citizens peacefully assembled to complain about the price of data?
