Behind the scenes of an author: I gave two artists the same directions for cover artwork! The first made something COOL, but it wasn't the right feel for my book, so I use it as promotional art. The super talented Chris McGrath made my final artwork, and I think he nailed it!

So I am finally reading Time-Marked Warlock by Shami Stovall, Author, and 3 pages in I know who the protagonist is, what kind of person he is, what makes him an unusual character, and one of the things that drives him. So, naturally, I want to continue reading to see what happens to

I am now a third of the way through Time-Marked Warlock by Shami Stovall, Author. Early in the book, she explains the hero's main power and its limitations. This is critical, because it frames the mystery as a puzzle. You have a powwrful tool, but how is the hero going to use it?
