#Rwanda is not and never has been the will of the people. It was not in the Tory manifesto. No one voted for it and poll after poll shows that most people hate the idea.

The 'will of the people', as represented by a landslide election victory such as in 2019, is an instruction to a government to do what it promised, not a blank cheque for it to do whatever it chooses.
