Wonderful hour of learning as Educators from Ranchdale PS participated in session #1 of a two-part "Lunch & Learn", co-facilitated w/ Carly Silberberg . Great discussion around "Appropriation vs. Appreciation" and the First Peoples Principles of Learning.

Did you know that June is "Indigenous People's History Month"? The library Ranchdale PS has a wonderful display honouring the month.

📚🚀🎉JULY 2: Announcing this #NIHM the launch for INDIGENOUS RIGHTS IN ONE MINUTE, by Bruce McIvor, 6:30pm at Blackhurst CC. Join Bruce as he sits down with acclaimed Mi’kmaw lawyer and activist Pam Palmater for a powerful conversation on Indigenous rights and reconciliation.📚

Amazing evening at @ Blackhurst Cultural Centre A Different Booklist during Bruce McIvor release of his book "Indigenous Rights in One Minute" alongside Pam Palmater can't wait to read this & share with other Educators.

Powerful Daughter-Dad evening at the season launch of Guild Festival Theatre w/ "Aqua's Red Rhythm & Blues" performing. Featuring amazing Fancy shawl dancer Nichole Leveck

It's time to get my book on! Starting w/ "52 Ways To Reconcile" by David A. Robertson An excellent primer on how to engage in acts of reconciliation each week of the year. Excellently pairs w/my "Buddha Bowl" from the Olde Stone Cottage. A definite must read for Educators!

On to my 2nd book of the summer, "Indigenous Rights in One Minute" by Bruce McIvor Such a great read written by a lawyer meant for "non-lawyers interested in Canada's commitment to reconciliation". Important read in Secondary Civics classes!
