I suspect because many modern 3D / VFX artists sit in front of a screen all day and no longer interact with physical models, or engage in ‘real world engineering’, that they have no sense of scale, volume and mass. —Go visit a ship, tank or aircraft museum.

We should ask the US Navy if they will let trek fans run fwd and back to aft to feel what it’s like to run roughly the length of a Galaxy class. Expect some calories burnt and hydration required after.
