Senator Matthew Gaines helped the Texas Legislature create Texas A&M through the Morrill Act in 1862. Today, his legacy lives on in Aggieland. On Friday at 3 p.m., a bronze statue of Sen. Gaines will be dedicated in the heart of campus. #tamu tx.ag/SenGaines
