Day one with Wakefield Brewster and these kids who think that poetry is “SO boring” were hanging off his every word. One of the biggest cynics even said, “What a fun afternoon!” Next week these lucky students start their journey of “writing change into the world.” Connect Charter

My students this year, more than any other year, wanted to know if the work was graded. I intentional in letting them know when tasks were for learning. Their focus on grades supported my instructional design. When I needed to assess what they learned the tasks looked different.
