#ajudapantanal

Our paper is out! 🌱 We found that viable seeds are deposited in the scats of quenda and woylies and capable of germinating under laboratory conditions, indicating that these species may play a larger role in seed dispersal than previously thought. doi.org/10.1071/AM20063

Fabulous TSR Hub research showing that, in addition to being digging mammals #quenda and #woylie, are also #ecosystemengineers by dispersing viable seeds. Nice job Gabrielle Beca and Bryony Palmer.

Humans may think of koalas as cute and cuddly herbivores, but sulphur-crested cockatoos respond this way to any arboreal mammal they feel might compete for a nesting hollow or threaten to eat their eggs. Wonderful pics by Lotje McDonald via ABC Melbourne facebook.com/abcmelbourne/p…
