Bernalillo is leading Valley 40-6 last I heard. 40. This game was 12-6 late in the third.

We saw some schools in smaller classes beat a bigger brother tonight. Lovington beat Hobbs. Portales beat Goddard. Bernalillo beat Valley. (Artesia beat Carlsbad, but not sure that game belongs in the group with the other three).

Bernalillo has polished off Moriarty 42-0 tonight, and the Spartans move to 4-0. That was a district opener. Man, it is just weird to be writing about district openers this early in a season.

Got the word. Bernalillo held on the 2-point try in overtime by Espanola Valley, and the Spartans, improbably, win this huge showdown game 21-20. Now THAT is a signature win for Bernalillo football.
