Yesterday, Future Grain took part in the 4th Workshop of the Nutritional Security Working Group. Università degli Studi di Milano UPO - Università
Rice leaf extraction protocol, to compare ancient and modern varieties by genetic profile. Future Grain
Our varieties of rice ripened and ready to be collected for future analysis. Future Grain
Plating dilutions of roots homogenate with selected #bacteria in the laminar flow. Future Grain
After a period of maturation, the plants are harvested for phenotypic analysis and #grain collection. Future Grain
The matured and harvested #varieties were compared for various characteristics, including the number of #cobs produced and #stem length. Future Grain
The seeds of ancient European varieties, naturally resistant, are ready for germination analyses. Future Grain
The #grains of the varieties were tested under stress conditions. One day after imbibition, the sampled seeds exhibited different rootlet development and #germination. Future Grain
It was a pleasure last week to take part in the Workshop on Plant Biology 2024 organized by Società Italiana di Biologia Vegetale . Future Grain participated in the #sketchingscience section with a freehand representation of the project.
Can interaction with #soilbacteria confer an advantage to #rice during response to water stress? Analyses are ongoing… Future Grain
The #ResinovaCollection will soon be ready for cultivation under natural conditions at the Botanical Garden, Città studi of Milan. Future Grain
Our analyses show how phenotypic aspects vary among varieties. The different anatomical features of the cod in ancient and modern varieties are a direct cause of the different productivity. Future Grain
The wait for our plants has paid off. After a long process of transplanting into the soil, our varieties are now growing vigorously in the field. Future Grain
Last month, Future Grain took part in the Annual Meeting of SBI Working Groups 2024. We have been selected as first speaker of symposium section to illustrate FutureGrain project Marco_Biancucci. It was a pleasure for us! Università degli Studi di Milano UPO - Università
Last week, we evaluate the association of old and modern varieties with bacteria of interest. We identified varieties that showed a greater association. One selected varieties show a number of colonies/gram from 60 to 155 times higher than the non-selected ones. Future Grain
It will be a pleasure to partecipate in the Recrop CA 22157 talk next week with our researcher Marco_Biancucci. We are waiting! Ignacio Ezquer Università degli Studi di Milano Future Grain
The selected rice varieties, which best associate with PGPB, are now growing in the growth chamber at UPO - Università, to evaluate their phenotype. We have inoculated and control plants and are waiting for them to bloom before moving on to the next step! Future Grain
