Loved venturing back into the classroom to spread the word of school psych and encourage students to unlock their potential with Mrs. Martyn!

I had a great 3 days subbing in the CCR room in Sycamore Creek ES this week. It was fun to be a croc for a bit and to see my mentor Minda Batten Griffin daily like old times. Hope to be back soon! #substituteteacherlife

It’s been wonderful few months subbing at Laurel Park Elementary! I have loved building relationships with new and familiar staff and students alike. Now time to conquer my 2nd year of grad school (and trade in teacher tired for grad student tired) #substituteteacherlife

Not gonna lie. The far left on my Twitter feed is more tiresome than the far right, in some ways. It’s ok to feel good for one day, to celebrate some small, even symbolic steps in the right direction, and still recognize that no problems are solved with an inauguration.

Sixty-one years ago today, the Greensboro Four asked to be served at a Woolworth lunch counter, sparking a sit-in movement that changed history. As we remember their courage, let's honor them by speaking out against racial injustice. #GreensboroSitIn
