Today history is being written. It is a day of many firsts, but not lasts. Thank you to our newly elected and appointed officials for breaking ceilings and barriers.

As we send warm congratulations to President Donald J. Trump Joe Biden and Vice President JD Vance Kamala Harris on taking the oath of office, we also want to thank the election workers and volunteers who spent countless hours making the 2020 election cycle, a smooth, free, and fair process.

Following Alex Padilla’s resignation as California Secretary of State, James Scwhab has been sworn in by Assemblymember Kevin McCarty as interim Secretary of State. Schwab previously served as Chief Deputy Secretary of State.

Today, as we see two of our own Californians make history, we congratulate and honor U.S. Vice President Kamala Harris and U.S. Senator Alex Padilla!
