THEORY - the serial killer case hits hard for Lucy, and her apartment is packed with houseguests, so she goes over to Tim's to seek some comfort. And maybe this is where we get a good conversation that leads to them getting back together

the last thing i’ll say is that things are known to move ridiculously quickly in this show. in 5x05 both of them were in relationships, by 5x08 he was asking her out and she said yes. i’m clinging onto that and the trust i have in meleric’s love for the ship like a life raft atp

this moment gets me... you can see the battle inside Tim's mind as he debates asking her to stay, and then he shoots his shot, and then Lucy wants to say yes, but knows she has to say no...and then Tim just pets Kojo like, I tried, buddy 😭 #TheRookie

Im gonna sob the way he told Kojo to stay and he always listens to Tim but then he saw Lucy about to leave. THEY BOTH MISS THEIR GIRL AND BOTH WOULD BREAK ANY RULES FOR HER IM SO SICK. GIVE ME BACK MY FAMILY. PLEASEEEEEE

This Episode should have been Lucy centric!! No Bailey and Nolan Drama. After saving that girl we should have seen her get flashbacks of DOD, dealing with it while Tim keeps a close eye on her! Her showing up at Tim’s house should have been about comfort.

I hate to say it but for the writers to not take the glaringly obvious opportunity to callback to DOD in 704 is just lazy writing. The cases were so similar that Mel had flashbacks just rehearsing. It really speaks to their continual failure in representing trauma accurately.

tim not going feral about lucy having to be with seth for 12 hours a day when he’s a known pathological liar is ooc.. he better be investigating behind the scenes because this man went crazy when she was his rookie, don’t tell me he doesn’t care when she’s his ex

I’m trying to give Tim grace but it does feel a tad dismissive & w Tim knowing better than anyone how personal lies can spiral, you’d think he would take it more seriously. Esp given that Lucy is someone who gives the benefit of the doubt, if she’s concerned, he should be too.

why have they written tim and lucy’s characters as really… bland this season? tim isn’t even the least bit concerned about seth lying to lucy TWICE? and lucy isn’t triggered by anything? i’m so underwhelmed.
