It’s kickoff day!!

Yesterday we were all in the CAD room learning how to assemble a chassis with a drivetrain and custom design our bumpers for the year. Our goal for this year is for all team members to know all parts of robotics!!

We were lucky enough today to have the Head Software and Hardware engineer from Roku come in to mentor us today! We learned about a new sensor we can use to detect cube weight and how to hook it up to the control hub.

One of our senior members teaching the less experienced members how to take a prototype from CAD and actually build it!

Today, in preparation for an upcoming outreach event we made a motorized turn table to display our robot!

We decided to upgrade from a two month calendar to a year long calendar wall! Now we can see all our events and birthdays at once!

Yesterday our FLL team the Gator-Rads competed for the first time! They got a high score of 210 and made it to state championship! We are so proud of these guys!!

Scrimmage this Saturday!

Last night during a severe storm in NWA, the Springdale Robotics Center, was hit by a tornado. Two mentors were in the building but thankfully remained unharmed. It’s still too early to say how quite how much damage there was.

Here are some pictures of our shop and game area. Unfortunately it continues to rain while we try to take inventory and find robots.
