USGA announces Pinehurst Resort as an "anchor U.S. Open site" and commits to hosting 5 future U.S. Opens on the No. 2 course: 2024 (already announced) 2029 2035 2041 2047

We are pleased to announce that Pinehurst Resort will serve as our first anchor site for the U.S. Open Championship. The announcement adds 4 U.S. Open Championships to be contested on Pinehurst’s Course No. 2 – in 2029, 2035, 2041 and 2047 – to the already scheduled 2024 event.
