The RVCG Task team was in action this weekend repairing the nature trail at Holme Head Wheel. Luckily the snow had melted and Storm Burt had abated. Thanks to all who helped.

A human chain of @SteelCtyStrider volunteers gets 3,000+ Christmas puddings stashed, ready for the annual Percy Pud Road race tomorrow. Good luck to the athletes travelling far and wide to run the beautiful course. And let’s hope the weather is a bit kinder than last year!!

The “Easy Going” tapping rail path between Olive Mill and Rowell Bridge is looking a bit shaggy and overgrown, so we’ll be along later to give it is annual spruce-up. Do say Hello if you’re down the valley between 2pm and 4pm today. 😊

We were out working on the old stone slabs above Rowell Bridge last night. Skimmed, trimmed, fettled, polished. Fingers crossed this lovely old heritage feature is now in good shape for all to enjoy for another year. Thanks to the volunteers who turned out to do it.
