Anybody else take a look at the 41 page GREET model, promoting Sustainable Aviation Fuel, regenerative farming and the like, and think this could create a lot of domestic demand for grains? But then get a headache thinking about how many government jobs this is gonna make?

This is what I fear most. The construction phase. Mountains of topsoil heaved and piled, never to regain its productivity. Endless construction in the mud. Endless drainage tile lines severed. And of course the glossy brochure will claim they will rectify & compensate

The WaPo has just exploded the climate hoax: "Rural land surrounding urban areas could help cool cities by up to 32.9°F." If the urban heat island effect (i.e, warming from concrete, asphalt & waste heat, etc.) is removed from guesstimates of "average global temperature",

If unfamiliar with the cash rent study here’s what you need to know. The numbers here are the view out of the back window. These largely reflect rents negotiated a year ago, when corn was +$5 for the upcoming 2024 crop year. 2025 rents are being negotiated now with $3 corn.

I wish more farmers understood that our government holds in place duties which add to +30% to the price of imported phosphorus. Which gives a couple fertilizer companies a monopoly on this nutrient.

USDA NASS overestimated the 2024 corn crop, causing an ag row crop recession of sorts People who never interface the actual grain trade, and only look at screens and reports, have won this arm wrestling contest, for now This market won’t stay down with a whiff of supply concern
