A Chinese court has secretly issued the second and final verdict in the ‘XueBing Case’ (Huang Xueqin and Wang Jianbing) without holding a trial or considering any new evidence. The court de facto deprived XueBing of their right to self-representation and denied the defense

This is outreagous, and a sign of an even tougher - if that was even possible - approach by Beijing twds any form of inconformity: detaining HRDs soon after their release from long jail sentences. Thinking also of Yu Wensheng, re-detained one year after release, now with Xu Yan.
