"I belong to the 20th century generation, while many of you belong to the 21st century. What’s past is past, we can’t change it, but we can learn from it. What is clear is that the future of humanity is in our hands," His Holiness the 14th Dalai Lama. #MondayMotivation #DalaiLama

Last weekend, Free Tibet had the pleasure of joining the #Tibetan community in their annual picnic weekend 🏕️⛅️ We enjoyed traditional Tibetan cuisines, games, performances and cultural displays, and also took part in traditional Tibetan circle dancing (gor-shey).

His Holiness the Dalai Lama gifted democracy to us, the Tibetan people, in exile and helped guide & strengthen our democratic process, as a result of which we have a vibrant democracy. I pay my obeisance to His Holiness as we celebrate the 84th anniversary of #TibetanDemocracyDay

Today marks the 64th Anniversary of Tibetan Democracy in Exile. Unlike life under 🇨🇳's oppressive regime, where personal freedoms are crushed, the Tibetan government-in-exile empowers Tibetans with the right to vote, to choose their leaders, and to shape their future. #grateful

we must call it what it is: cultural erasure! The decision to rename “Tibet” as “Xizang” in French museums is nothing short of historical manipulation!
