Good point in this article. If AOC wants to expand her constituency beyond the usual suspects (leftists and people under 40), Brad Lander would be a bridge to another wing of the Democratic Party. Endorsing Zohran Mamdani would just be doubling down on her existing base.

The more interesting number here for the non-Cuomos is the 35 Cuomo gets in the first round. Most polls have had him in the low-40’s. When Adams eked out a win in ‘21 he was at 31, and if Cuomo is there his opponents think they have a shot
