Today we celebrate Dr. Fran for successfully defending her dissertation. Thank you to Michael_Kaiser Megan Rosa-Caldwell, PhD Kevin Murach and Tyrone Washington for service and mentorship. SeongKyun Lim for traveling to be here for her. And all her labmates past and present UA Exercise Science

What a week! Monday: a 13 impact score for my F32 to study the muscle clock in cancer cachexia with Michael_Kaiser and Andrew Judge Friday: successfully defending my dissertation with the support of my mentor UA Cachexia Lab and committee Kevin Murach Megan Rosa-Caldwell, PhD and lab mates!🥳

I'm still looking to recruit a PhD student for my lab University of Arkansas! Come learn and work with great people UA COEHP and UA Exercise Science! Specifics below, but please feel free to DM/email any questions!

It's an exciting day- we sent out our first Cancer Cachexia Society #WCX newsletter to amplify the voices of women and gender minorities in our community. Read it here: cancercachexiasociety.org/assets/2024/WC…

Always bittersweet to see great students move forward. Yesterday we gave Dr. Fran her personalized PhD graduate labcoat, today group lunch. She'll be in town a few more days but we'll miss her and are excited to watch her next steps with Michael_Kaiser and Andrew Judge
