It's a good day to be a chief of staff. State Representative Marty Moylan (D-Des Plaines) is retiring in favor of his chief of staff Justin Cochran. Marty filed for relection, but will now withdraw so his chief of staff can run unopposed in the Democratic primary.

Im pretty desensitized to old school Chicago politics, so I guess I'm a little surprised with the national intrigue and outrage with Chuy Garcia's switcheroo.
