I am very touched by the passing of Fusha Ram #Bishnoi yesterday. He was a strong influence on me. He was also the father of Ganga Ram, killed in 2000 by poachers while trying to save a gazelle. This portrait became iconic & was the symbol of the Bishnois worldwide. RIP my friend

I'm happy to start a new long-term photographic project on #Forests with #Botanic. When I was a kid my dream was to become a forest ranger and I did my first internship at 13 near my home in Alsace. I always loved trees and particularly the forest. Thanks for trusting me.

As I promissed to some bishnoi friends here is a video of the #Bishnois, first #ecologists in #India, presented in Matino (Italy) during Yeast Photo Festival. The exhibition is in a church only open on Christmas and now for the Bishnoi exhibition!

I was very sad yesterday when I red the passing of Mikhaïl Gorbatchev. He was a great man who cared a lot about environment protection. I met him several times when I was ambassador for his NGO Green Cross and it was always a pleasure and an honor. RIP President #Gorbatchev!

It was an honor to meet Dr. Jane Goodall & the Jane Goodall Institute. She has always been an inspiration to me. While working with the #Bishnois, who live in harmony with nature and wildlife since 1485, I was often thinking about her. Especially when I saw a wild gazelle eating in a Bishnoi hand.
