Why do NHL broadcast directors insist on using closeup shots when players go being the net? It's pointless and they never switch back fast enough when the puck goes back into the slot or to the point. Please stop @sportsnet

Seriously Sportsnet, the constant closeups during the oilers broadcasts make it very hard to follow the action. No one cares. Just leave it on the wide shot. You're not in film school.

Joe Nolan (@joenolansongs) provides us with a deeply soulful album, exploring the depths of the human experience in ‘Drifters’ — a must-listen to for any roots, folk or indie fans. Read our 9/10 review: exclaim.ca/music/article/…

Now that it's clear that the The JUNO Awards arena show won't be able to happen until late next year at the most optimistic, will the The JUNO Awards do the right thing and hand out the awards so many people worked so hard to earn (not to mention paid to be considered for)

There are only two camera angles that matter for hockey. The wide shot, and the shot of Ron Low scratching his eyebrows with his middle finger after the refs call a soft penalty. Sportsnet No one likes your fancy closeups that linger after the puck is gone.

Hey Edmonton Police If all your helicopter does is hover over my neighborhood all night making noise, I can save you a bunch of money and just idle my rototiller.

Hey Hockey Night in Canada Please stop with the unnecessary closeups. We don't need a closeup while they skate through the neutral zone. Please force your director to actually watch a hockey game sometime. Closeups are for replays and maybe his indie film side hustle.

Hey Toronto Blue Jays and Sportsnet. Do you not want kids watching baseball? The commercials for The Exorcist at 5pm are not cool. I don't even want to see that never mind my elementary school aged kids.

Hey Sportsnet and NHL will you ever respond to questions re: horror commercials during hockey games? Watching the Edmonton Oilers at 6pm with my kids and I have to censor the commercials. No wonder we have an anxiety epidemic in kids. Tagging Dads Jason Gregor Zach Hyman

Alberta, open pit coal mines are back. Great interview w High River Mayor Snodgrass about why they're a terrible idea for our water, why it makes NO financial sense & why we can't trust the govt or the AER to act in our interests. This is trouble. Pls RT edmonton.ctvnews.ca/mobile/video?c…
