Glad to have the Fram2 crew back on earth. One hell of a mission! Thank you to the crew, for genuinely giving your all to this mission. Watching you become a cohesive unit, and accomplish this incredible achievement as a team, was a genuine pleasure. Chun, your vision,

The joy of space. Below me is north Greenland with the frozen Arctic Ocean extending towards the North Pole off the left of the picture. fram2

Mac. Robertson Land, Antarctica. From top down: Prince Charles Mountains, Lambert glacier (largest on Earth and creating one of Earth’s deepest canyons), the Amery Ice Shelf, Prydz Bay. I flew across the Amery Ice Shelf in 1996 flying from Mawson to Davis stations. fram2

Looking at Earth being the perfect wonder among the stars, I really do think humanity belongs out there and needs to explore. Because who knows what else we will find? To a future where we become an interstellar civilization. I am so grateful to this killer crew: Chun

The most historic experiment we had on board was a tech demonstration: The first ever X-Ray taken in space. Project: X-Ray ⚡ Question: Can we take good quality X-Rays in space? Fun facts: - Due to bone loss in microgravity, fractures can become more likely on long duration

I presumed that viewing Earth from 400+ km above would feel like gazing at something infinitely far, where depth perception wouldn’t matter. However, that’s not true—you can distinctly see Earth’s spherical shape, and the layers between the clouds and the ground stand out

My return home to Norway was exceptional 🇳🇴 Our plane was greeted at OSL with a water bridge, a huge thank you to SAS - Scandinavian Airlines for going above and beyond ( maybe not quite as beyond as Fram2 😂), and a big hug to everyone who met up at the arrival hall at OSL ❤️ The love was felt ❤️ 📸

While on orbit I often found our altitude to be deceiving. This is a kind of fractal effect where an inlet at 2000m altitude could look like a bay at 10km which could look like a gulf at 100km and an entire country’s coastline at 400km. Sinai Peninsula. fram2

I got to talk to the FRAM2 astronauts while they were in polar orbit! This was the first ever crewed mission over the north and south poles. Stick around to the end to see my footage of them splashing down from a plane! fram2

We clearly see large leads (cracks) in the Arctic Ocean ice below Rabea Rogge while on orbit. Here’s how we cross narrow leads while skiing to or from the North Pole.

Another fun (and active!) series of experiments on our fram2 mission. Project: Efficient Exercise 💪🏻 Question: How can we a) shorten necessary exercise time and b) develop a portable device for use in space? Fun facts: - We tested blood flow restriction (BFR) training

Ever wondered what information your saliva holds? Turns out, quite a bit! Project: Saliva sampling for stress response 🫧 Question: How does stress quantifiably influence us in unknown environments? Fun facts: - Saliva can be used to measure a multitude of interesting

Title: DracoStyle [Evolved] Feat. very special guest: The spacecraft itself As an intermezzo between the science: A short synth session, blending technology into music, to also give the arts some room on the mission. A little freestyled at the end! fram2 and original

When I saw this with my own eyes, one thought that came to mind was the famous opening line from A Tale of Two Cities by Charles Dickens: It is the best of times for fishing, it is the worst of times for fish…

Heard Island and McDonald Islands (ISO 3166-2:HM) is one of the most difficult countries/territories on ISO 3166 for any human to legally set foot on. You would probably have to organize your own scientific mission in order to be granted access. Our crew member, @icetrek Eric
