Short days and gloomy weather getting you down? Come along to a relaxed and uplifting guided walk to discover Foxglove Covert Local Nature Reserve in midwinter.

The first sightings of both common toad and common frog were reported at Foxglove today. Keep an eye out for amphibians on the paths, in the undergrowth and around the ponds the next time you visit!

Many apologies, but the MOD have closed the reserve today, Sunday 10/03/24 for security reasons. We will post an update when we reopen.

Regrettably, Foxglove Covert will remain closed to the public this weekend Sat 16 / Sun 17 March. We anticipate that there will be better news next week. With thanks to all of our visitors for their patience.

Foxglove Covert LNR is now open.

In the Foxglove Covert garden today were a couple of firsts for the year; two stock doves, and two grey wagtails. Joining them were a couple of bramblings, alongside the usual mix of garden birds!

VISITOR INFORMATION Due to an important event occuring on the camp, Foxglove Covert LNR will be closed for one day only on Moday 22nd April. The reserve will resume usual opening hours on Tuesday 23rd April.
