I think manga and anime serve entirely different purposes, even if it is an adaptation! An anime shouldn't be there to replicate every movement, panel and detail, but to capture the world and feeling it evokes. Animation can do things manga can't, and vice versa.

No joke, Lamput is genuinely one of the best slapstick cartoons of the 2010’s. I’ve said this before, but I don’t think there was a cartoon that I personally felt could was a true spiritual successor to Tom and Jerry until this. THIS is masterful, aspiring visual comedy.
